I Love Spitting a Little Mist Out
I love spitting a little mist out. I take a little sip from my squirt bottle and then push the water back out. So fucking dope. I'm gay, so I have been bullied a lot, but never about this. It’s literally the one thing I do that absolutely no one has a problem with. If I'm inside I'll do it in the bathroom, but when I'm outside I just let it rip wherever.Â
My favorite is the music festival. Everyone is in such good spirits already, and they love seeing me spit a bunch of water out of my mouth. I usually do it between the bands playing because I don't want to be a distraction. Guys are into it, women too. Some people like a fine mist — it can even give you a little rainbow. Some people don't want a mist at all; they just want a jet that shoots as far as possible. I like both….
One significant session took place at Coachella. It was before The Weeknd went on. There was so much electricity in the air already, so when I started spitting all over -- you can just imagine. A little crowd began to gather as I was misting and jetting. The jets were particularly healthy, really solid streams.Â
A man was watching on the side for a while but began to inch closer. I was about halfway through my squirt bottle before he was directly in front of me. Caught up in the moment, he integrated into the routine seamlessly. I was drenching him, hitting him full on with gorg mists and punishing streams. He was doused and reeling. We were truly in it, alive in every direction, water in and out like a dance. During a particularly gnarly gush I realized it was Tom Colicchio from Top Chef. But I didn't feel judged, I felt free.
When I heard the first note of "Starboy" I stopped immediately out of respect. Tom took my hand and we turned our heads toward the stage. Both of us drenched and grinning, the wet earth of Coachella beneath our feet. Every sense was heightened, our entire bodies ringing. But it was only right to stop, to focus on the live music. People paid good money to be there.
